Ep 89 How It's Going at 10 Months Postpartum

Hi Lady! My last Postpartum 'State of the Union' address was already 6 months ago! In the last couple weeks alone, Homegirl has begun walking and sprouted half a dozen teeth. (!) In this episode, I'm sharing 10 months postpartum updates for baby, from sleep to foods to activity, and for mom, from exercise to weight loss to mood to cycle tracking. I hope what comes across in this episode is the idea that, yes, things generally improve and progress as you move through postpartum, but at any given time there're usually some area/s that are still in-process. And that's OK.

The point isn't to compare yourself to me or any other mom. The point is to be able to look at various aspects of your own postpartum and recognize "hey, this or that thing that felt hard/challenging/impossible before is now no longer an issue OR it's second nature now OR it's because something I love OR it's something I've delegated, etc."

One of the toughest parts of postpartum is the feeling that many things or everything is hard, challenging, or impossible....and always will be.

That's why every single episode features One Small Change, one micro update for myself or Homegirl from the past week. This week's episode is the 1,000 foot view of the big rocks that make up all the "one small changes" of postpartum thus far.

Hey Lady!

What if you could love who you become during postpartum? What if postpartum wasn't a default time, but a window of opportunity, an experience you could enter into on purpose? Here, you'll find articles I've written for various outlets, exploring the answers to these questions.

Let the posts come to you.
